  4.            avoid using extended memory that is in use by another program.

  6.            A new option, /x, enables VRAM to utilize extended memory that
  7.            conforms to the eXtended Memory Specification (XMS). Microsoft
  8.            supplies an XMS driver, himem.sys, with Microsoft Windows.  In

  10.            be present in your config.sys file.
